Online Resources

Here are links to a collection of online resources of biblical study. Many of these are freely available on the web. If a resource requires purchase, I've noted that here.

Greek Texts and Tools

The site, zhubert.com, has all sorts of Bible study tools for use with the Greek New Testament. You can do concordance searches, make your own inter-linear text, and more.

Comparing Translations

Crosswalk.com has a number of Bible study tools available free. One of them is a Parallel Bible that you create yourself by choosing from various translations.

In BibleWorks, you can create a parallel Bible by clicking on the Tools menu and then Parallel Version Window. BibleWorks is a software program available to Luther Seminary students in the library and via the Homelab. It is also available for purchase. If you're a Luther Seminary student, check with the bookstore for possible discounts.

Comparing the Synoptic Gospels

The Five Gospels Parallels, edited by John W. Marshall.

In a single browser window, you may open various combinations of texts, like (1) the three synoptics, (2) the four canonical gospels, (3) the four canonical gospels plus the gospel of Thomas.  From there, you can click on links to make the biblical texts scroll to their parallel passages.
