Intersections of Problem-Based Learning

Debrief

In step 7, you assessed your own performance and that of your group to come up with a solution to the problem. In this step, you assess the problem itself.

Here you reflect on the process and judge the problem and the resources provided. You determine whether and how well they provided you with useful activities for learning the skill(s) they are associated with. To debrief, ask questions like these:

  1. How did work with the problem lead me to use resources within Into the New Testament?
  2. Were the resource pages associated with this skill helpful as I approached the problem? What should be added or subtracted there?
  3. How did work with the problem lead me to work with resources beyond Into the New Testament?
  4. What new links to outside resources should be added here?
  5. What other problems of types of problems would give me additional practice with this skill?
  6. Are we having fun yet? Is any of this relevant to the reasons I am in this class or field of study?
